Case study: Unilever – Transitioning from Brand Management to Category Director and Board member
Unilever is a global company in FMCG sector with brands used daily by 2.5 billion people. In Romania they have the Regional office for South Central Europe covering marketing and sales operations in the Balkans.
Part of the marketing team, Ana was a promising manager, advancing fast to the brand management role. One of the challenges she faced was to make a transition step towards category switch and in parallel to be integrated in European team.
The first encounter presented a very confident marketer, with minor concerns about future presence in regional team. We based the approach on feedback received in matrix from her CEO and from the Regional Supervisor.
She responded great and after 9 months she got promoted as Category Director, board team member.
