fb-event2-photo

The 2014 sherpacoaching.com research states that 60% of companies will hire an internal coach to build personalized and on-going development programs. These companies use coaching mostly for leadership development, for addressing a specific problem and for assisting a transition.

This why this time we have a special guest. Simona Dinculescu is 45, she’s the mother of two children and she’s HR Manager at GDF Suez. Being passionate about mountaineering, she’s been in expeditions for the past 20 years. The most recent include Kilimanjaro, Mont Blac, Elbrus and Aconcagua. She will join us and share her experience and the benefits of integrating coaching competences in your management role and become a valuable internal coach/mentor.

Coaching 101: Fundamentals – Understanding coaching as a profession

In a recent study conducted by Manchester Inc. on 100 executives from Fortune 1000, the ROI of coaching is almost six times its investment. Is this worth your time and efforts? Here’s what we will explore in this first part:

  • what is coaching
  • what does a coach offer during a coaching process
  • what coaching is NOT
  • why companies hire coaches

Coaching 101: Life design of a coach

“When you are judging someone, there is something about yourself that you are not valuing or liking. You are projecting outwards what you are feeling about yourself. If you think someone does not respect you then it is likely that you are not respecting yourself.” Many of the skills you will learn as a coach are actually life skills for yourself and for your clients. We will explore one together of the the following:

  • values & life purpose
  • creating awareness
  • underlying beliefs
  • confidence
  • self management
  • releasing judgment
  • self development plan

Coaching 101: Power tool – Truth vs. Fraud

“Knowing the truth about ourselves empowers us and frees up energy. This is self-awareness. Being completely aware of the truths around us allows us to grow and develop. If we decide not to live in truth then we choose to be fraudulent. We are either one or the other.”

This part is the first step towards going deeper in your coaching development process (the advanced part) and creates awareness about how a person chooses to live. It is very important as a coach to be able to distinguish this nuances in our clients words and bring them to the surface so they can see them too.[/expand]
